cruise:

Coral Princess Darwin-Broome.

cabin: lower deck cabin, twin bedding

Cabin is roomy - has good hanging space and drawers for clothes and incidentals and ensuite Bathroom which uses space well. Natural Light via a porthole.

My Mum and my nephew Thomas shared a Main Deck Stateroom (Twin beds) which they found very comfortable- it has the large picture windows and more room than the Cabin.

Terri's Mum and Dad shared an upper deck Stateroom with a double bed- and were very comfortable. Stairways from Main deck up are narrow and steep.

top 3 sights / activities:

1)    I loved the "Explorer" excursions away from the Mothership.

The Explorer is easy to board (it is attached to the deck of the boat on a platform which lowers into the water for launch)  and very comfortable for the excursions. It is very fast and is under full shade and has a toilet on board.

2)   The Horizontal Falls in the zodiacs

3) The beach BBQ- stunning scenery and a great BBQ at Nares Point. The crew were always great, but here showed their best with skipper doing the mixed BBQ and all the others helping make it a great success.

food report:

Food is good quality smorgasboard Breakfast, lunch and Dinner.

Cooked breakfast every second day.

this cruise is ideal for:

Hmmm. With 48 passengers it is not a small group- but it seemed that way as most people interacted very well.

Good access to the tender and a medium sized mothership with good appointments make this a great choice for mid- older travellers with a sense of adventure, but not able to climb cliffs (as they do on some of the smaller boats).

most useful item i packed:

Lightweight hiking boots and reef sandals.

I just about lived in my swimmers- we had a few spas on board, but mostly swam in the rockpools near waterfalls.

value for money:

Top marks here.

Good value cruise with a lot of happy passengers after 10 days!
