Day 1

Guests on Diversity II are collected at approximately 3.00pm from either their accommodation venue or a location organised if they wish to wander in the Broome shopping precinct prior to departure.  Once on board, you will have the opportunity to meet the other guests and crew, be shown your accommodation and taken through our safety procedures. Whilst the skipper takes leave of Broome, a welcome drink and trays of hors d'oeuvres will be offered on the back deck. Guests can relax with a fantastic view of the famous cable beach as Diversity II makes its first steam overnight to our first stop at Yampi Sound.

Day 2

Awaken to freshly made coffee and a prepared cooked breakfast before boarding one of our tenders to experience your first taste of the magnificent Kimberley. You can swim in your first Kimberley swimming holes, try your luck at catching a fish. We will then steam through the Koolan Island channel where you can view one of the highest concentrates of iron ore in the world, passing by Iron Island where history tells us that Pearl Luggers stopped to collect ballast for their vessels.  Welcome to Talbot Bay, this is the site of working pearl farms and the famous Horizontal Falls. After your evening meal enjoy a drink and watch the stars as our skipper steams the short distance to Raft Point.

Day 3

Raft Point is truly an artist's paradise, with its palate of many exquisite colours and sculptured rock formations. Today will see you taking a short trek up a scenic track that offers views overlooking foam passage and Steep Island.  As you near the top of track you are witness to the awesome sight of a gallery of Aboriginal Art that tells a visual story of an ancient race of water people that lived in the area approximately 1000 years ago. From here Diversity II will steam north to Langii and the petrified warriors, here you will have the opportunity to cool down with a leisurely swim before heading back to the vessel for your evening meal.  Relive your experience with fellow passengers while we steam further north into Camden Harbour before dropping anchor for the night.

Day 4

Camden Harbour is also known as Heartbreak Harbour, as history recounts the tales of early settlers perishing in the harsh environment, the grave site of Mary Pascoe and the ruins of buildings in the area tells the harsh and heartbreaking story of people not prepared or able to adapt in order to survive in a country as unforgiving as ours. From Camden Harbour you will travel through Treachery Pass where we will stop for a brief interlude and catch a fish for our evening meal, before moving into the Prince Regent River and anchor for the night.

Day 5

Depending on the tides, today will either be spent exploring the Prince Regent or taking you for a walk to another of the Kimberley well kept secrets. Take the time to enjoy the beauty of this natural phenomenon, explore, take photos, swim or freshen up with a cool drink. Back on board Diversity II, enjoy a sumptuous feast before heading into the Kings Cascade for a shower on the fore deck of Diversity II. Then it's your choice between a relaxing day on board, climbing to enjoy the freedom of taking a dip in the scenic surround of a series of freshwater pools or having the crew take you in one of the tenders for a spot of fishing.

Day 6

Wake up to the aroma of breakfast cooking and take the time to enjoy it while we steam past Mt Trafalgar and Mt Wellington where you will test your photographic skills on the distinctive landmarks on offer.  Diversity II will be spending the day making its way to the site of Philip Parker Kings Boab tree, where in 1820, he careened the vessel, the Mermaid, for repairs. Along the way we will be making several stops in order to take a closer look at many sites of interest and do the odd spot of fishing. Relax with a late afternoon drink and evening meal amid the backdrop of a stunning Kimberley sunset, and while Diversity II makes her way to Deception Bay to anchor for the night.

Day 7

Today sees us viewing one of the most amazing sites this area of extreme tides produce, Montgomery Reef. Watch this ancient and spectacular reef appear out of the blue as the tide drops and water cascades into a channel carved out of the reef by millions of years of tidal activity.  You have a choice of dropping a line or just savouring unique place, before enjoying a cool swim in one of our favourite water holes under a never ending waterfall nearby. After your evening meal Diversity II will shift a short distance to anchor for the night.

Day 8

Today is the day dedicated to the fishermen and fisher women who have been teased and tantalised all week. Today we hunt!! You will fish for mangrove jacks, finger mark, occasional suicidal salmon and of course the Kimberley prize, the elusive Barramundi. As the name of this prolific fishing ground suggests, the Three Ways System has too many secrets to give up in one day but Diversity II's crew will spend the day exploring as much of it as you wish. After your evening meal the skipper will take you on a short steam south to a river system kept a closely guarded secret by those few that know it.

Day 9

Well like all good adventures, today is the day Diversity II's crew will take you places of untold beauty, of clear cool water holes, of waterfalls that defy you not to take photos, to fish that want to be caught, and we are not going to elaborate on where or how, it is an adventure that you will be telling stories about for many years to come.

Day 10

Lots of choices for today, collecting fresh black lip oysters, mud crabbing, visiting Silicone Beach, famous for the squeak and brilliances of the white sand, or a small island with a long history of pearling and its beginnings in the region.  You can hear bell rock at the entrance of the grave yard, a natural phenomenon this rock over eons of time as worn a hole in the reef.   Sadly it is the end of your journey with us, and we head home overnight.

Day 11

Arrive in Broome at approximately 07.30 and disembark Diversity II to finish your holiday experience in Broome or catch your flight home.
